What is Students Grievance Redressal Cell?
The grievance procedure is a machinery to sort out the issues between student and college. It enables students who feel they have been treated unfairly in academic or administrative affairs to seek redress. All matters are handled confidentially, ensuring procedural fairness and unbiased treatment.
Nature of Grievance
The cell deals with grievances regarding academics, exams, finance, health, library, and college services.
Objectives
- Ensure democratic environment in campus
- Inform students of their rights and responsibilities
- Resolve personal and educational grievances
- Encourage open expression of problems
- Monitor redressal procedures and policies
- Promote qualitative and quantitative improvement of the college
Powers
- Members can resolve grievances through discussion
- If unresolved, the Principal handles the matter
- Strict action is taken if anyone is found guilty
- Punishment can range from warning to expulsion
Functions
- Attend to written grievances promptly
- Review and report all grievance cases
- Submit final report to Principal and student within 15 days
Procedure to Register Grievance
Students may place grievances in suggestion/complaint boxes at the office or library. These are reviewed by the coordinator and submitted to the committee. Students may also register online through the college website. Action is initiated within 7 working days.
